Don’t let the fear of talking take your life

It is DAMN hard to talk but don’t let the fear of talking take your life.

Chester Bennington’s suicide and the death of Scott Hutchison has been such a wake up call for how much pain we can be in and  just feel like there is no other way out.  It hurts to know that another beautiful, creative soul felt life was over for them. There’s so much to say about this subject, but a lengthy post doesn’t feel right at the moment.

It’s often said that talking helps, but it’s hard to talk when you feel that bad so what do you do?  Maybe having a plan for when you feel the signs coming on could be one way of helping. But without a doubt, it is people or a different perspective that can be the vital support at those times when you can’t support yourself.

Don’t let the fear of talking take your life.

Reach out in whatever way works for you, but don’t be alone with these feelings going round and round in your head, and don’t let the fear of talking take your life.  Chester used to say that inside his head was like a ‘bad neighbourhood’; somewhere he shouldn’t be on his own.  Therapy can make your bad neighbourhood safe again, but it might take a few attempts to get rid of all of the bad elements so don’t give up hope please.  Stay with the good people until the neighbourhood is safe again.

Here are some links, don’t worry about what to say, just make the call if you are feeling like there is no other way out. Please.
